The Judges Perspective.
"Partner " - noun a person who shares or is associated with another in some action or endeavour.
"Partnership" - noun where 2 or more parties agree to work together and share responsibilities.
"Relationship" - noun the way in which two or more parties or things are connected, or the state of being connected.
What the Judge is looking for.
The equine/handler relationship.
How they react to each other.
Is the communication mutual.
Who is more dominant.
The equine/handler partnership.
Do they look connected.
Are they working together.
Does the equine look distracted.
Have the obstacle requirements been met.
If not, was it handler error.
Did the equine not understand.
Rushing or hurrying.
Refusal to approach an obstacle.
No expression or interest.
Handler leading position.
How well was it maintained throughout the obstacle.
Was there any pulling from in front or behind.
Lack of presentation of the obstacle to the equine, by the handler.
